Nutrition for a Healthy and Productive Life – Community Health-Ed
Nutrition is closely related to our health and well-being and this is because research has shown that malnutrition is largely responsible for a variety of illnesses that have plagued our generation. 1 in 10 persons who are 20 years or above are diagnosed with one illness or the other as a result of some negative lifestyle choices.
There are many fad diets and myths out there on the issue of nutrition, that many people have got into all sorts of trouble due to lack of appropriate knowledge. Consequently, our mission is to continually educate and raise awareness within our environment and network on healthy living and in this season, proper nutrition, the benefits and how our negative nutrition choices can affect our overall health and well-being.
Nutrition is the building block of life and therefore requires that we pay serious attention to this critical aspect of living as the foundation to a healthy, fulfilled, happy and long life.
Monthly, we hold our Community Health-Ed Program series, where we educate our community(ies) on preventive health and wellness as a lifestyle. Community Health-Ed 3.0 with Theme: Nutrition for a Healthy and Productive Lifestyle comes up this Saturday March 16, 2019 by 9:00am [see previous events].
